Overdue

Coming here is long overdue! Sorry about the Food Diary slow down, but I figure the food I listed in the last blog would be the same, but on different day so why mention which one I ate. It was just a pick and choose system. I've only made two juices because I make a lot at one time. I still have to say the juice take some getting use to or my juicer is faulty becuase I get a somewhat pulp thing going on when the juice sit for a few days, and I was getting particular about that. Moral is, don't make so much at one time. Up until about a week and a half ago I haven't eaten beef, chicken or steak and decided to give myself a cheat week (or two, I over brought some beef). This is just to experiment and see if the switch is working. Well, there wasn't any major differences noticed or any that I don't want to share, LOL. I haven't weighed myself, but I also don't want to track my weight until I see a significant change. Other than that, making the switch isn't so bad. Though I made tacos this past week (I only like tacos made with beef) I didn't miss it. So, I can get use to a vegetarian lifestyle. Its expensive, but its all for good health. Once this cheat week past, I was considering locating a professional juice bar instead of making any juice myself until I figure out the flaw in my juicer. So, until then, thanks for reading. Stay tuned!

One Week Free

HEY GUYS! HAVEN'T BEEN ON HERE LATELY. THOUGHT I HONESTLY COULDN'T DO THIS, BUT ITS TIME I SNAP OUT OF THIS FEAR. I HAVE MADE MY CHANGE. I BEGAN JUICING MONDAY AND THE JUICE HAS A ACQUIRED TASTE TO GET USE TO. SO I SIP THE JUICE THROUGHOUT THE DAY AND EAT VEGGIE PATTIES, BLACK BEAN BURGERS AND SOY BURGERS (<DON'T LIKE THE LAST ONE TOO MUCH) TO ACCOMMODATE MY OTHER MEALS. UNFORTUNATELY, MY BF DIDN'T LIKE THE JUICE AND I BELIEVE IS OPTING OUT THE JUICING FAST WITH ME. SPEAKING OF THE JUICING FAST, B/C THIS JUICE TAKES SOME GETTING USE TO, I WASN'T READY TO JUST JUMP RIGHT INTO IT FOR TWO REASONS: ONE, I BELIEVE I AM IN GOOD ENOUGH HEALTH TO NOT NEED TO STRICTLY JUICE. AND TWO, I DIDN'T WANT THIS CHANGE TO BACK FIRE AND END UP VERY DISAPPOINTED. SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE IS MY MOTTO. I ACTUALLY ALMOST JUICE THE ENTIRE DAY YESTERDAY, BUT MY CLIENT TALKED ME TO DEATH AND THEN I LEFT MY JUICE IN HER FRIDGE. SO I HAD A VEGGIE PATTY FROM SUBWAY (SUCKED). THE VEGGIE DELIGHT MY BF CONCOCTED TASTED BETTER. TO NOTE, THE JUICE GETS BETTER DAY BY DAY, THE FRUIT AND GINGER HELPS. WELL, HOPEFULLY I CAN GO ANOTHER WEEK, AND ANOTHER AND ANOTHER UNTIL I DROP ALL THE WEIGHT I WANT TO DROP. STAY TUNED!

Food Diary, Day 4

Hi guys! So far its just processed foods and whatever healthy I can muster up like the salads and juices. I want to share something. I've noticed lately that with some recent weight gain, my body has acquired some changes I can't stand. One is acid reflux. This problem has gotten worst over the last year. At first, I thought it was just from eating spicy foods and drinking alcohol, so I stop mixing the two, but it didn't stop. It got worst. After some research, I now know it's due to weight gain and bending forward, which I do a lot for work. These are just a couple causes, but I'm afraid the reflux could get even worst if I don't do something about it now. Therefore, in addition to my vow to change my eating habits, a goal for this transition to healthy, safer eating is to get rid of this ridiculous reflux. This problem will be a test to see if having a more plant based diet could rid me of this health problem and no telling what else. That's the main problem I wanted to share because in one of the docs, the men and women mentioned were really sick, and only under 50 years old. I don't want to be 40, not even 30, and have an ice-cream bucket or large Ziploc bag full of medicine. It's scary how fast the body can become weak and sick due to unhealthy eating and no exercise. And if that's not surprising enough, I use to be very active. I participated on cheerleading teams since the 7th grade. I didn't know about healthy eating back then, so I was still a big girl, but an active big girl. Now that that activity has ceased and desist, the weight rose. It's unbelievable how small weights gains can have bigger effects than you think. My weight gain is similar to the "Freshmen 10," though I've been off campus for a while now. It started with 10 lbs and I started getting lazy. I brushed it off at first, falsely assuring myself I could join another team or get one of the school trainers to help me loose the weight, its just 10 lbs. But oh no, I let mind lazy body take over, and then another ten came. Eventually, I've reached a weight I promised myself years ago to never ever reach. Its just not healthy, period! Plus, with diabetes and breast cancer running in my family, its 10x's more not healthy for me. That's just a snippet of what was going through my mind today. I hope I can get you all to join in my effort to healthy, safer eating. Thanks
